Leica TCS SP8

Leica TCS SP8 confocal laser scanning microscope

This system is based on a fully motorised Leica DMi8CEL (inverted) research microscope, and the scanhead is equipped with one conventional photo multiplier tube and two highly sensitive HyD detectors. The entire microscope is controlled via the Leica LAS X software. The system is also equipped with a stage top environment control chamber to maintain optimal conditions for live cell imaging (temperature, carbon dioxide concentration and air humidity).

Filter sets

Standard filter cubes for epifluorescence detection of DAPI (exc 360/40, em 425 LP), FITC (exc 470/40, em 515 LP) and Rhodamine (exc 540/45, em 590 LP) are available on the TCS SP8.
